Diagnosaurus has been updated
Diagnosaurus has been updated!
This is our most comprehensive update since launch with new diagnoses and differential diagnoses explained. More than 250 diagnoses were updated and new content covering trending topics such as COVID-19, Long Covid, and Mpox were added. Diagnosaurus, which first launched in 2010 and contains over 1,100 diagnoses, remains trusted by thousands of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and students.
The incredibly popular quick reference tool on AccessMedicine can be used to help quickly determine differential diagnoses and sort these by symptom, disease, or organ system. Users can leverage this tool if they wish to review the causes of a patient’s chief complaint or if they’ve made a diagnosis and wonder what other disorders to consider. The valuable "See Related DDx" feature within each listing helps users consider alternative diagnoses and quickly access those entries. Once a user has settled on a diagnosis, they can view all resources covering it on AccessMedicine, which can include tables, patient education, cases, images, references, multimedia, and textbooks.
Other features that make Diagnosaurus so incredibly valuable to providers and students are the ability to highlight and make custom notes within entries, which are already organized in a quick-read format, and the option to “favorite” entries, allowing them to remain in your collections for quick access. Plus, the Universal Index Search allows users to help find answers fast.
Incredibly, the update was a large undertaking supported by a humble team of just three. The process of researching, writing, editing, vetting, and publishing this highly trusted content was no small feat but will help empower a whole new generation of providers.
"This Diagnosaurus update will help clinical students and trainees ensure they're not missing key diagnoses and are continually improving their differential diagnosis skills," says Roni Zeiger, MD, GirlTREK, Director of Product Development.
We are also excited to announce that the full Diagnosaurus experience, which users can currently access on desktop through AccessMedicine, is NOW available in the Access app! This game-changing update allows AccessMedicine subscribers to quickly reference Diagnosaurus on the go with the same features as the web, including searching and sorting by symptom, disease, and organ system.
