Access App: Spring Updates 2024 & New Features
We're thrilled to share the latest enhancements to the Access mobile app, designed to elevate the user experience. Our team has been hard at work, crafting updates that bring convenience and delight to every interaction – making studying and learning easier and more efficient.
A top-requested feature is finally live! Your activity between the Access app and desktop sites now sync in real-time.
- Your favorites, recently viewed, and collections will now sync* automatically between both web and the app, including previous history.
- App favorites will appear on the web version in a collection titled “Access Mobile Favorites.”
Please note: You will need to sign out and sign in again to enable the sync feature. App users should have been automatically signed out, but please sign in and out if you aren’t seeing any content syncing. Once you have signed in and out, syncing should be instantaneous going forward.
*Some content available on the web is not available in the app.
Another requested feature to meet the needs of accessible learning and the variety of learning styles: text-to-speech. This recently released feature allows users to:
- listen to content on the go, online or offline
- autoscroll with different highlight color options
- skip forward or back
- adjust pitch and speed
And ICYMI, the app has been tablet-optimized, and we’ve introduced highlights and annotations. Choose from 6 colors and add notes to your highlights.
