Author comments

Charles Hellier Charles J. Hellier founded and was former President of Hellier Technical Training and Consulting. After the acquisition of his Company 1998, he remained as President then General Manager until his retirement in 2003. He continued as consultant with the company until retiring again in 2011. He has been active in the Technology of Nondestructive Testing and related Quality and Inspection fields since 1957, and is currently a principal of The Summit Group, LLC a company providing management and technical seminars and consulting services.

Michael Shakinovsky is an ASNT certificate holder in ultrasonics, radiography, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing. He has specialized in nondestructive testing for more than 40 years. Mr. Shakinovsky is currently the Corporate NDT Level III for Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.
