Former New York Yankees coach Dom Scala presents an all-in-one illustrated guide to learning proper baseball fundamentals

In helping young athletes prepare to play better fundamental baseball, Coach Dom Scala sticks to the basics: solid athleticism, good practice sessions, and above all else, keeping it simple. In ONE-ON-ONE BASEBALL (McGraw-Hill), an easy-to-follow illustrated guide to the game's fundamentals, Coach Scala goes beyond his thirty years of experience in the game and recruits his old students and colleagues - most of whom have won World Series rings playing for the Yankees - to go around the diamond and give readers their personal tips of the trade. The book is a one-on-one approach with hall-of-famers, fan-favorites and all-stars anchored by Scala, whose tenure as a professional, amateur and youth coach cement his qualifications to teach the game.

In ONE-ON-ONE BASEBALL, he shows coaches how to efficiently divide up practice schedules and resources for small-group instruction, and what to concentrate on in delivering the fundamentals to young players. Heavy on tips and drills, coaches will learn pitching tips from Hall-of-Famer Goose Gossage and 4-time All-Star John Franco plus defensive fundamentals from former Mets manager Willie Randolph and more.

By building individual skills, each player on the field can provide maximum contribution to his team. By turning to the game's best, for the best advice, Coach Scala has done the same for ONE-ON-ONE BASEBALL and readers everywhere.
