THE BREASTFEEDING MOTHER'S GUIDE TO MAKING MORE MILK

Milk supply is a huge concern to nursing moms, especially if the baby has trouble latching on or once the mother starts to spend time away from the baby. Myths (such as drinking a glass of beer everyday) and supplements abound, but there has so far been no credible source of complete information. Until now!

Endorsed by La Leche League, the best-known breastfeeding advocacy organization, THE BREASTFEEDING MOTHER'S GUIDE TO MAKING MORE MILK (McGraw-Hill; January 2009; Paperback: $17.95) is the ultimate reference for nursing mothers who are concerned about milk supply. It helps them find out if there really is a problem, what the problem is, and what really works - from authors who are leading experts on this topic. Diana West, IBCLC, and Lisa Marasco, M.A., IBCLC, offer new ideas for increasing milk supply including alternative ways to pump, methods to create more milk ejections, herbs, homeopathy, and chiropractics. The book includes a foreword by Martha Sears, RN.

The Breastfeeding Mother's Guide to Making More Milk is a comprehensive exploration of the many facets of low milk supply, including new discoveries about the way the breast makes milk and how babies contribute, the latest research about causes, and innovative ways to increase milk supply.
